Posts: 4 April 25, 2008 3:40 AM	Tags : None There was a fanfic posted the other day (Wed 4/23) on TC that I couldn't find today. I'm sorry to the author for I've forgotten your name and the name of the fic. It was about Jason watching Liz and the boys through the window while it was raining. It was a short fic but well written and I wanted to read it again but couldn't find it. I didn't understand why it was deleted until I realized that it was through that author's sig that I discovered this site. Unfortunately, I don't have a screencap (I didn't even think I'd need one!) but I imagine that qualifies as a deleted post. Now, later in the evening, the only threads that are accessible on TC are the Fanfic archives (at least to us non-members). What's going on?!

Unless some of the other archivers are deleting without telling the rest of us, that's what's been going on. However, I could be being hoodwinked, so I'll keep an eye out. While some have requested their fanfics be deleted, I know Donna's (JavaPrincess) was deleted because she included a pro-Casey and Koko message in her fanfic posts.

At that point I hadn't requested Stand In The Rain be deleted, since I had told them not to archive it. Crush: The Hub Series was also deleted because I put a link in it. But that's just me. Posts: 2 April 28, 2008 11:14 PM	i recently had a fic "removed" with a pm from brooke telling me it was because it was decided long ago that stories that were diary-ish from elizabeth's view point would not be allowed because it is easier to tell how she was feeling as opposed to jason's. brooke went on to tell me that because i was ranting a bit in the beginning through elizabeth's view point that it went beyond fic and my story would be removed. coincidentally, i received a pm from jeweltones who told me to include "new" in the topic and let people know if it would be continued or not. she was unaware that the fic was pulled until i questioned her about it. was i annoyed? yup. i told jt that i was upset by brooke's tone because it felt as though i was being reprimanded for something i was unaware of (and if that rule is posted anywhere, i have yet to find it...i digress). i posted the story on fanfiction.net to say i am stunned that all of this is going on, would be an understatement. i rarely participate in any of the discussions on the canvas. i am only there to read the fanfic, but it is truly a shame that all of this is going on and no one is really aware...just people disappear as do stories. i received a friend request, which i accepted, and on the person's profile, it gave casey's side of the story. i was shocked. i think it is great that there is outrage and support for casey and koko. i also think it is outstanding that a site was created at yuku so current canvas members can have access and participate.

It's a damn good thing Brooke wasn't around when I wrote a stream of consciousness story from Elizabeth's POV where she basically blasted everyone she came in contact with. That's censorship in its absolute strictest form and who the hell is Brooke to decide what is or isn't appropriate or even ranting? That's what the writing is for. I'm completely appalled and offended as a fellow writer. No one has the right to police what you write and how you write it. That's just ansolutely ridiculous. Censoring fan fiction?? I had a whole series called "The Things I Can't Say" which was basically the thoughts I heard in Elizabeth head for each episode. It's actually one of my favorite Liason things that I've written becuase it helped me though a HUGE Liason drught. Steve wasn't even on the show at the time I wrote it. ~ Amy ~

All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.
