You made a good point about a lot of people not really knowing what happened, but I'll take it one step further. A bunch of people who post at multiple sites are new authors, a lot of them working on their first fics, and they're looking for feedback. While we have a good group at RTN (about 350, more or less) TC has a ginormous membership count and lots of people feedback. So I try not to fault these authors because they're newer and they are looking for support and tips and guidance which they get from feedback, adn it's not a statement for them. It's about going where people will read their fic and be willing to leave a note.

So I cut them some slack because again, like you said, a lot of them are pretty new. :) And they should be able to feel like they have the interest/support/guidance they need.

I get that some don't know the story because of the efforts of Brooke and Amy to keep them completely in the dark, but there are others who just don't care which is their right. For me it is not about punishing the authors of fic's, I adore fic writers, you all have a talent that I appreciate and the fact that you share it with us all for free is a gift.

I don't know if the membership numbers at TC reflect the actual active members of the board. Of the 3080 member count only 1888 have ever posted and more than half of them have not posted in over a year. And still a lot those 1888 joined in Apr/May 08. But again for me, more than 2 active members is too many.

The only thing that we can continue to do is spread the word and post a link to this site everywhere you go on the net. I personnally will not change my profile, I was on line for years and never even paid attention that I had a profile, because as the weeks have passed my focus is not about whether TC can be restored but more making sure as many people as possible knows what happened so they can judge for themselves.
